About Us

Who we are...

We are a Christian Congregation that is very different from most traditional Christians. The most particular thing is that we meet on the 7th Day (Saturday) just as it teaches us in the Bible. We believe that Jesus came to the earth, died on the cross so we could have eternal life, not because of how well we lived but by our faith. (This is mentioned in John 3:16). If you are very objective about us and have any questions you are very welcome to contact us and we will answer all of your questions. You are most welcome to join us in our weekly Saturday programmes starting at 9:30am. Our Church is a part of the global Seventh-day Adventist Church. Have a look at the video bellow for more information.

Where we come from...

We started as a small group that met each Sabbath at a School and after a while as the Church grew we earned the funds required for a permanent Church building. From the very beginning we participated in various community events so we give to the community. We started the church small, but we were a part of the global Seventh-day Adventist Church with more than 16 million members, and still are to this day.

Where we're headed...

Our goal is to serve the community and to share the Love of Jesus to all in our area so that many can experience the same experience we have. Whether this be through showing the love of Jesus through us as we serve others just as Jesus did or through educational community seminars that provide factual evidence for the existence of God.

What this means for you...

We don't believe just for the sake of believing. We have evidence that backs us up so we can share that with others. Want to give it a go?  By coming to one of our Church services you get to socialise and connect with others. But most importantly you get to connect with our Creator God and learn about him through the Sermon.

Most importantly, you're always welcome. We're saving a seat for you. Wherever you're at in your faith journey, you'll always be accepted as part of the Lakeside family. You won't be met with shame, guilt, or condemnation. Our Church is filled with completely imperfect people, so no matter who you are, we accept you the way you are.

You matter to God, You matter to Us.

What do we as 'Seventh-day Adventists' Believe?

Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as the only source of our beliefs. We consider our movement to be the result of the Protestant conviction Sola Scriptura—the Bible as the only standard of faith and practice for Christians.
